Happy Chinese is a three-level course for secondary students aged 11 to 16 whose mother tongue is English. It is a project co-sponsored by China's National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (NOCFL) and the British Culture Council. Teacher's books, flash cards, wall pictures and listening materials are available. Each student's book has 24 lessons grouped into eight units. ·Specially designed for teenage students with interesting topics related to their lives. ·Written to meet foreign language curricula requirements abroad. ·Trains students' communicative competence in Chinese. ·Contains enjoyable activities to motivate students. ·Prepares students for further study in Chinese.
