A survey of the French designer's 20 year career, with images from fashion photographer Alistair Taylor Young French designer Patrick Norguet has an atypical background. His career took a turn in 2000 when Giulio Cappellini noticed his famous Rainbow Chair, which is currently a part of the collection at the Museum of Modern Art. Since then, Norguet has been drawing for major designers such as Capellini, Poltrona Frau, Cassina, Tacchini, Hermes, Tolix, Artifort, Pedrali, Ethimo, and more. With a constant quest for accurate lines and elegant shapes, Norguet sees design as a collective and innovative endeavor. He likes factories, materials, techniques, and the beauty of the mechanical part and it's components. In this book, he shares 25 of his works, creating a poetic and dreamlike visual tale that questions the relationship between the object and the body and highlights his creative process.
