Jack London was an American novelist, journalist and social activist. Pioneering the genre of magazine fiction and prototyping science fiction, he became one of the first writers, who gained worldwide fame and a large fortune. Written mostly during author's "Klondike" period, this volume consists of eight wonderful short stories like "The Story of Keesh," "A Day's Lodging," and "Love of Life" - a story of two gold prospectors, who are suffering from starvation as they trudge wearily across the frozen tundra of Canada to find food.
