But strange and unnerving events have been occurring at Thornfield, and the demons of Rochester's past threaten to shatter everything Jane has grown to hold dear. Originally published in 1847 under the pseudonym Currer Bell, Jane Eyre is Charlotte Bronte's best-known novel, a Gothic masterpiece of character and emotion.
