📖 Improving Organizational Success: The Role of Applied Psychology. Applying Psychological Theories and Principles to the Scientific Study of Human Behavior.

Every organization expects to succeed in all its endeavors by formulating policies and strategies that would help to move the organization forward. To ensure this vision is achieved, the organization needs to pay particular attention to its most valuable asset, that is, its human resource. The holistic approach to managing the human resource of an organization positions the organization positively to gain competitive advantage in the global business environment. An organization, in an approach to improving its success, needs to devote time to study scientifically the behavior of the human resource in the workplace through the application of psychological theories and principles. This study is referred to as Industrial and Organizational Psychology. The outcome of this study therefore serves as a guide to an organization desiring to succeed or to improve on its success.
