Mark Twain (1835-1910) was an American writer, journalist, and publisher. Among his most famous novels are "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and its sequel, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." Most of his finest work includes many genres such as humor, satire, and philosophical fiction. "A Tramp Abroad" is a semi-autobiographical work of travel literature genre. The book tells the story of Twain's exciting journey through central and southern Europe accompanied by a fictional character named Harris, based on Mark's closest friend, Joseph Twichell.
